Keeping the spirit!

TT may be over, but are you keeping the spirit! If so, how?

Talk about your feelings regarding the cancelation, ways to keep the fandom alive, etc. here.

I kind of miss watching the new episodes. I remember sitting down and eating dry cereal, eyes glued to the screen while The End first aired last summer (has it really been that long?), and how cool it was. Wow. I can't belive it's over.

To keep the spirit alive, I've been rewatching the DVDs, writing fanfics, downloading eps that haven't made it to the DVDs yet, drawing fanart, making AMVs...and posting a gazillion posts frequently here trying to force all of you to stay in the spirit ;D How about all of you?

Thoughts? Ideas? Nostalgic rants? Anything?

I'm keeping the spirit! I am still drawing tt (its all i ever draw) I write story (even though they are not on the Internet) and i am hoping to get the comics!

I love the TTs and i will always love them! And who knows? Maybe the TT will come back, right?

I am sooooo excited about the TT DTV too! I am so gonna see it as soon it comes out!

That sucks that it ended. I remember waiting for a new eppi to come on and was so excited. Now I sit here.

All of you may have already read this and might of already posted it on this shrine but... this is what i saw on titansgo.net.

[glow=red,2,300]ToyFare #108 came out last week, with a 2-page feature on the Teen Titans and JLU cancellations. In it, WB Animation president Sander Schwartz says they were cancelled because they "lasted longer and for more episodes than most successful animated shows, and it's time to give them a bit of a rest." He later adds: "In animation and the kids' business in general, you're not making money from TV, but from a variety of sources: home video, merchandising and licensing. That's just the traditional cycle. There isn't a compelling reason to do new shows." ("shows" refers to new episodes, not new series). Of course many fans will find those statements questionable, so take it as you will.[/glow]

I don't know why they would give the Teen Titans a "break," they were doing so well. But..... when they mean "a bit of rest," do they mean that they might bring the Teen Titans back?

[glow=red,2,300]TT producer Glen Murakami states contentment with how the show and Season 5 ended, while leaving it open. Regarding a revival, he is optimistic: "That's still a possibility. But it's too soon to tell."

Schwartz adds, regarding more DTV movies: "I think you will be seeing more DC-based long-form video products within the next few years," and says the DTV format allows them to try "new and different" material. [/glow]
