Right, so, I was wondering if TT was really really cancelled. Like if there was any hope at all whatsoever of it coming back or of any merch coming out. I decided to email Butch @ TTgo.net, because he's practically the only one that updates, anyway.
So, here's what I emailed;
Butch,
Lately you seem to be the main - or only - poster on ttg.net. [Or, maybe you ARE the only poster because it's your job?] Well, I heard a bunch of rumors about the Titans series being on hiatus or just taking a break. I know it's cancelled, but I was just wondering if it's a permenent cancellation?
I heard a rumor about maybe bringing the show back if 'TT: Trouble inTokyo' makes a lot of money. Is there any truth behind this? As a huge Teen Titans fan and a full-time Beast Boy & Raven worshipper, I need to know if there is any hope whatsoever for the show that has remained my favorite for over 3 years.
Thanks for your help. Please email me back.
-Jessica
And here's the reply I got the other day;
Hi,
Sorry for the late response, I've been away on a trip and have come back
to a large load of emails to catch up on.
Officially, a network will never say a show has been cancelled because
there really is no such thing as "never". However, Cartoon Network's
interests currently lie in supporting their own studio's works, and Teen
Titans is not from them but from Warner Bros. Animation. So, Teen Titans
has been cancelled "indefinitely".
Cartoon Network's interest in Teen Titans at all at this point would be in
selling power. So yes, seeing more Teen Titans projects will heavily rely
on how well "Trouble in Tokyo" and the upcoming "Complete Season 2" DVDs
will do in sales. This is why it will be important for fans to support the
upcoming Teen Titans merchandise, in particular those two upcoming DVD
releases. By the way, we have seen "Trouble in Tokyo", and it is
excellent!
If we can't save Teen Titans Season 6, we can at the very least see more
Teen Titans movies by supporting the merchandise and (especially) upcoming
DVDs. Just hang in there, and don't give up!
-Butho
That's enough hope for me!!! =D
